NON RESIDENTS DOCUMENTATION

If you are an EU resident the documentation needed to apply for a mortgage is:

If you are employed:

> P60
> Payslips from the last 3 months
> Bank statements (3 to 6 months)
> Copy of passport (photo page)
> Nota Simple (if you have already found the property)
> EXPERIAN or EQUIFAX report

If you are self-employed

> Tax Return and accounts
> Copy of passport (photo page)
> Nota Simple (if you have already found the property)
> EXPERIAN or EQUIFAX report

You will also need to apply for a NIE in order complete on your Spanish mortgage. See Spanish NIE numbers for more information.

It is possible that more documentation may be required by some banks in order to process your mortgage application.

> Reference from your Bank Manager
> EXPERIAN or EQUIFAX report
> Copy of your work contract
> Proof of address (utility bill)
> Mortgage statements for main property
> Marriage/Divorce certificates


You will also be asked for proof of the availibility of the funds that you bring to the operation (10% or 20%)
